I have just finished the 3 day intensive introductory MIG course at TWA.. it was so good , I really enjoyed the course and I believe welding is something I would like to progress at and develop higher certification levels in city and guilds. The place and staff are all very knowledgeable, welcoming and easy going yet very professional about what they do . I was working mainly with Andy and also Kev on my last day , both top men and very knowledgeable and helpful. My son has just had two days welding training with TWA which he found challenging but thoroughly enjoyable, great team with buckets of skill & experience to draw on, whilst also being fun & engaging, would thoroughly recommend. Very professional, and Knowledgeable staff with exellent facilities. I went there for a day as a Christmas present from my girlfriend to try something a litte diffrent that i had been uming and arring about. They allowed me to try any of the welding styles and i opted for Mig for the first half of the day, and then swapped over to Tig for the afternoon. I had never welded anything before but under their guidance I was able to MIG to a good standard, and shown how to TIG ( not as good at that one. but was more than happy to have a go) It gave me the Opportunity to see if I would want to continue welding as a hobby before paying for all the tools and equipment and i can confirm im buying a mig welder. Fantastic service right from the Receptionist through to the guys in the Workshop. Was recommended to the Academy by a fellow Karter who had his race kart chassis repaired here. Carried out the repair on my kart within half an hour of me dropping it off with them. Very impressed with their knowledge and the help they gave me. Completed a 5 day C&G L2 qualification at TWA and couldn’t recommend a better place for learning the techniques and skill behind welding. The instructors are very knowledgeable and clearly have a lot to experience between them. As someone who isn’t a welder by profession, Kevin (both of them) was able to break things down and show step by step how to perform each weld and the differences between processes. Recently attended a 5 day TIG course Monday to Friday. I got what I was hoping for and more. Excellent instruction by clearly experienced staff members. A shout out to all the staff making my stay at TWA well worthwhile. Come away with good good foundation, confidence and enough knowledge to pursue TIG. Right from the first phone call I was impressed with how friendly and helpful they were.We had so many questions not only about the course but also we needed advice about where to stay that was local to the Academy.I contacted them several times with questions and each time the response was very quick and so helpful. I was very anxious about going the first day as I'm in my 50,s and it's been a very long time since I've been to College., I can honestly say the welcome I got made me completely at ease.I was offered a cup of tea soon as I arrived and greeted by friendly staff. The staff here are so down to earth and friendly but at the same time they know there stuff! They are incredible at what they do and help you in every way they can . I would highly recommend anyone thinking about doing a Welding course to go here! The whole team are fantastic. Thanks everyone for helping me achieve what I thought I never would at my age! I wouldn't have done it without your continued support and advice throughout the week!
